Coconut Water for Joe
You’re the only person I can think of who likes coconut water aside from myself. So…. fresh fresh fresshhh coconut water for you!
It’s really not as sweet as when packaged and enjoyed in the U.S. But we pulled over on the side of the road in Bangalore and got some coconuts. If there’s flesh on the inside you get that also. They take a huge machete thing and hack at it,...
Fake auto/rickshaw rules
I’ve only been in Mumbai for 3 hours… and you’re supposed to pay according to the meter… but I’ve gotten enough fake auto rules explained to me.. that I’m starting a list. (like metered fare… etc.)
- From the domestic airport we’re not allowed to take passengers to departures, only arrivals..
- They don’t allowed metered fares when...
Tea by the Sea for Joyce :)
Thats tea.. and behind it the sea! I wanted to give you a cup of tea, because everyone drinks tea like crazy here for any reason at all. Usually a cup in the morning, one in the afternoon, and every time you visit someone’s home. This particular cup of tea was enjoyed in Trivandrum, Kerala.
There’s something special about being sure of what you want, no matter how small it is. For...
Maya for April :)
I probably shouldn’t be gifting my friend’s dog… haha, but meet Maya :)
Maya’s a puppy! Officially, she’s only a year and a half old. She’s about to have her second litter of puppies :) Yes. Her second litter. Puppies don’t get fixed in India :) Which means there are lots of stray puppies running around. She’s Suma and Avinash’s dog!...

baby ants for.. june bryan and kevin!
baby ants! they’re totally full grown. but they’re tiny! cutest ants ive ever seen, and there are some nasty fat ants I gawk at every day. those ones are like the water buffalo of ants. but these little tinies are like, bryan’s dog small/cute.
so one day, Anu and I were trying to map out the communication that goes on between the valvemen and other parts of the water board by...
Lentils for Pratik!
Pratik and I once laughed heartily over what it meant to some to be vegetarian, and how they tried to get their fair share of protein. Something about more not-eating-meat than eating-vegetables haha :) Highlight of the conversation was basically… you’re vegetarian? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT LENTILS ARE?
They’re a protein heavy “bushy” annual plant in the legume...
Okay... so i'm in India :)
Ignore every old post on my tumblr for now because… I’m in India! And I got you something :)
I’ve been stuck over what to get people from India, and honestly, also stuck over what to bring back for myself…some .. ‘things’ that bottle up my time here… little pieces of India to pass out that try to do this place justice… something that might remind me...

Nobdy knows what you're saying, dude.
A plug for useful marketing, especially useful when you’re trying very hard to be informative (or when it is very important to be).
Say you’re trying to sell a camera, assuming that it is actually a good camera. (Because you could be selling a crappy one). You know that your 10 megapixel camera is really, really good precisely because it has 10 megapixels and you want to communicate...

people-y goals instead of function-y goals
I’ve started using self-coined terms. What does it mean to have people-y goals? And why should they be championed instead of function-y goals? I’m proud to say I’ve thought about this prior to joining Google for a summer - so this post is entirely utterly and completely unbiased.
Function goals. These are the goals that encompass the function of a group - which might include...

——————————CORRECTION
Before every declarative statement in this post, please add “i think” or ‘i believe’ before the sentence. i sound way too credible in this post. don’t want people following my advice now.

i feel like i went to school in a forest today. will take a picture next time....
you know what i miss?
concerts.
at night.
out on the grass.
in the open air.
on some temporary stage.
with people everywhere, moving around, jumping up and down
moving and jumping so much that it stops being cold, stopping to take pictures with lovelies, grabbing onto a hand and being pulled and pulling through the crowd.
it’s a good feeling =)
even when you dont know the music.
san diego is so much sunnier. therefore happier.

I can’t believe I’ve entered into my last month as a teenager. =/...
subtle, subtle differences. (look for it........)
Long nights like these (I’m writing a 10 page final paper *cry cry* it’s 6:40AM) usually end in silence. Or in the sound of Katie’s deep slumber (or the sound of her alarm, whichever… :D). If you wait long enough, the sun comes out and the birds begin to chirp (really, they do!). Then by some stroke of luck your paper is finished! You uselessly copy your 8 sources,...
Semesters make you lazy.
It’s proven. From a fellow quarter-er, also. I’ve taken out the unimportant parts of the conversation. See below.
Michael Le: …also, i finally see how the semester system makes you LAZY…
Those who oppose should transfer to a quarter school and see how you do. JUST GO. =) I think you’ll find the quarter system rocks is freeeking amazing.

the benefits of homey home
Went home today. Whyyyyyy did I go home i go allllll the time =(. I went so I wouldn’t have to go this weekend. And since I was at home I paid a visit to my favorite chiropractor (favorite because she makes my spine feel AMAZING! you should go to a chiropractor). My neck was hurting, or something. for like 6 months. ANYWAYS.
me: Hows my spine? :D (hopeful)
